OUR STORY

Having been born and raised in Cornwall, its coastline has always been a massive part of mine and my families life.  My first encounter with sea glass happened when I was a child.  I found this wonderful green gem, or so I thought, and I asked my father what it was.  He said that it was 'pirate treasure'; some gems that had been lost at sea when their ship had sunk during a battle.

Of course I believed him and I then wanted to collect as much of this treasure as I could, much to his frustration as I dragged him across the beach.  Now older and with children of my own, I'm the one being dragged across the beach in search of pirate treasure to use in mine, and my husband's, handmade silver jewellery.

The name 'Diw Loor' is Cornish for 'two moons' and relates to our daughters, who are both named after moons in our solar system.

We aim to use as much recycled silver and packaging as possible when creating our jewelery.
